Get to know Kate LS
Kate supports clients of all ages, with a focus on children and early intervention for those wanting to address concerns relating to speech and language development, voice, social communication and swallowing/mealtimes.
Working with children who have feeding difficulties, Kate finds real joy when told the positive impacts feeding therapy has had on family mealtimes and the impact this then has on the whole family.
Kate is skilled in working with people who have ASD, Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy and speech or developmental delays to assist them to find ways to communicate when words aren’t always possible, using augmentative and alternative communication methods.
Kate has worked predominantly in the private paediatric space for over 9 years. She has assisted clients with accessing the NDIS and establishing functional goals. Kate understands the importance of holistic care and loves to assist her clients to help find their voice.
Kate is well trained to evaluate a client’s speech, language, fluency, literacy, voice and swallowing and mealtime skills and develop an individualised plan to address development or disorders.
