Kirsty is an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist who works with children and their families to achieve their goals and work towards independence. She has a background in community occupational therapy and has worked with clients across all ages with complex disabilities and medical needs.

She has a strong passion for working with children and young adults in reaching their developmental milestones required to set them up for successful lives. Kirsty has worked in a range of settings and always aims to make therapy fun and engaging!

How can you support people?

I can provide tailored assessments and interventions to children and adults to improve their independence and allow them to participate in daily activities to the best of their abilities. I can work towards assisting a child to achieve developmental milestones in a range of settings.

How does your background shape the way you work?

I have many years of experience working with children and adults in the disability sector. By working with a range of people with complex conditions, I have been able to develop creative and innovative strategies to support client success in daily tasks. My passion for occupational therapy stemmed from working as a disability support worker where I was able to work with clients and their families in achieving their goals related to school readiness, employment and increasing their daily living skills.

What is your approach to working with people?

I take the time to get to know somebody as well as what they want to achieve in life. I’m patient, determined, and understanding and will collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that I can achieve the best outcome for my clients.
