What are NDIS Psychology services?

NDIS psychology services are designed to address emotional, cognitive, and behavioural challenges that impact a participant’s ability to engage in everyday activities.  Psychology services under the NDIS may include:

  • Developing emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Helping participants improve their daily living and building capacity
  • Enhancing problem-solving skills for everyday life
  • Supporting the ability to complete life transitions, like starting school or entering the workforce
  • Conducting functional assessments to understand a person’s strengths and challenges, to support interventions and planning
  •  Building social and communication skills

Support across the lifespan

Who can benefit from NDIS psychology services?

Our NDIS psychology services support both children and adults who experience challenges related to:

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) – Developing emotional regulation, social communication, and adaptive skills

Intellectual disabilities – Supporting cognitive development, behaviour management, and independence

Trauma and PTSD – Trauma-informed therapy to support recovery and resilience

Developmental delays – Enhancing learning abilities, social engagement, and confidence

Our NDIS psychologists support children and families

For parents & children

Our psychologists collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other clinicians to create comprehensive support plans that promote a child’s long-term success.

Many parents of children with NDIS plans seek psychological services to help their child with:

Regulating emotions – Helping children understand and express their emotions in healthy ways

Developing coping strategies and achieving their potential – Assisting children in handling transitions and stressors

Functional capacity building for daily living – Teaching children self-advocacy skills to help them to express their needs in various settings

Building social confidence – Supporting children who struggle with making friends or understanding social cues
